The trek begins in San Antonio, Texas; onto Tokyo, Japan & ultimately into Johannesburg, Pretoria & White River, South Africa.
Patrick Chamusso is continuing his quest for a better society as he cares for the increasing number of vulnerable children in the HIV/AIDS ravaged Masoyi community near White River in Mpumalanga.
His children are well fed, clean, educated & happy.
One ordinary man is making a difference in the lives of many.
The Road to Patrick Chamusso is a collection of images captured by photographer Red Baklava along his journey to meet up with “the ordinary man” for a photo shoot.
The photo shoot was part of a fundraising campaign for a Tokyo based organization (D4K), that helps children in need throughout the world.
Red was selected to be the official photographer of the organization earlier this year.
tThe R.T.P.C. exhibition will begin in San Antonio, Texas as part of an international photo festival called Foto Septiembre.
Red has a solo-artist show at a well known gallery throughout the festival. The show will open at The One9zero6 gallery, ran by Andy & Yvette Benavides during the month of September.
The gallery is not only a staple in the "SoFlo" art district of San Antonio, but an important "hub" in the center of the art community as well.

After the exhibition in San Antonio, the show will open in Tokyo, Japan & then onto South Africa.
Red's connection with Patrick Chamusso is a powerful one. As the official photographer for Dancing4Kids, Red was able to accomplish what he set out to do...and that's to shed light on the magic that exists in the Mpumalanga region of South Africa at a small orphanage named Two Sisters.
The relationship between Red & Patrick Chamusso has evolved & blossomed into that of a kinship. So much so that Red has been asked by Patrick to write his book. A novel/photo-journalistic biography of the entire life, experiences, events & private moments of Patrick Chamusso.
The opportunity was extended to Red by Patrick after the feedback Patrick received based on an article that was written by Red for South African Airways "in-flight" magazine.
Red Baklava has created a gallery show in honor of their kinship titled "The Road to Patrick Chamusso". The show shares the impact of random "moments in time" that led up-to the actual meeting they had in White River, South Africa.
